One of Cash Cuddler’s favorite ways to save money is to not buy soda. This saves not only on the cost of the drink, but also the tax and the deposit charge. The stuff is also not good for you.
The best way to get a high quality soft drink for pennies is to fill a plastic container with water, toss in a few teabags and microwave for 10 minutes. Voila! You have just brewed tea.
Let it cool, add lemons and stick it in the fridge. This is an excellent way to get a soft drink that costs pennies per quart. The iced tea mixes are a lot more expensive than this home brewing method.
BTW, the teabags you can buy at the dollar store work just fine. Don’t be suckered into buying a name brand tea.
